Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix |
CBBC reports that 7,680 copies of J. K. Rowling's long-awaited fifth book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, have been stolen from a trading estate in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside. The books, worth approximately £130,500, were in a van that was stolen at about 10:30pm on Sunday 15 June 2003. The van was later found in Salford, Greater Manchester, minus the books, which were to be delivered to the supermarket chain Asda
A spokesperson for J. K. Rowling announced in a statement to Newsround Online: "We hope that nobody will spoil the excitement for all Harry Potter fans who are looking forward to reading the book" |
