CBBC has reported that Charlotte Church, the Welsh singer, claims she "...was nearly Hermione" in the Harry Potter movies. Newsround was interviewing the signer about her part in the movie "I'll Be There" when she mentioned her agent had approached Warner Bros about her playing the part. Charlotte told the interviewer it was eventually decided that at 13 years old she was too old to play Hermione, as the studio was looking for somebody about 11 years old
In the interview Charlotte also mentioned she has pre-ordered a copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, released 21 June 2003, and is looking forward to its arrival |
