Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix |
The Times Online has published an article on the build up to the delivery of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in Britain. The article states that 2.5million copies of J. K. Rowling's long-awaited fifth book, published on 21 June 2003, are currently waiting in secure warehouses, ready to be delivered in under two weeks time
An estimated 500,000 copies of the book will be delivered to homes by Royal Mail on the morning of 21 June 2003, whilst the other copies will be securely transferred to bookstores. Bookstores are bound by contract to store the books in their original, sealed, packaging in a secure location until midnight. Any stores breaking their contract will be punished with a ban from selling further editions of the Harry Potter series
