44 year old Donald Parfitt has been charged with theft of chapters from J. K. Rowling's fifth book: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Parfitt, an employee of the UK printer of the Harry Potter books, has been released on bail and will appear before Magistrates on May 14 in Lowesoft. 18 year old Garry Cox and two 16 year olds will also appear before Magistrates on May 14, after being charged with handling stolen goods

Details are also appearing showing that chapters of the long awaited fifth book, officially published June 21, were offered to both the Daily Mail and the Daily Mirror as well as the Sun. The Sun claimed to have been offered the chapters in exchange for £25,000. All three newspapers declined the offer
